Sweetness and Light

Often in my little business, I have the pleasure of meeting pure innocence.

Such sweetness cannot help touch the Soul.

All the World should realize these sensitive Beings embody unconditional Love.

If we learn their example, we might advance as a species.

Dogs are the #BetterWorld.

Thank you, Taler.

You are one of the Good Ones.

Cheers,

Feeding the Finicky Feline

When denied the chance to take down their own prey – cats become finicky eaters.

They are superior predators and indoor only cats can be the hardest to feed.

Kibble is a completely unnatural food.

No Mammal eats dry food only.

When a cat eats prey – it consumes a lot of fluid and juicy bits plus the odd bone.

Kibble only satisfies the crunchy need and not the moistness needed for proper digestion.

It’s best as a snack food but if your cat won’t eat anything else introduce fluid to dry kibble a little at a time until your kitty is used to it.

Cats are obligate carnivores.

They need protein daily.

Meat & Fish are the best foods for cats as they contain Taurine which is essential for healthy eyes and heart.

Most cats love Tuna, but it is a very polluted fat fish.

Salmon, Sardines, Mackerel, White Fish are all tolerated by cats but have issues that should concern pet owners, like tape worm & high mercury/heavy metal content.

If you feed your cats fish, stay away from farmed fish esp. Tilapia.

Drain canned product and rinse to remove salt & other additives.

Mix in 1/4 tsp of powdered Sunflower Lecithin to 1/4 to 1/2 cup of fish.

Lecithin carries heavy metals from the body.

Organic Apple Pectin can be used for this purpose.

1/8 tsp per serving.

Mix with a little water or Red Clover Tea to make a broth.

Other powdered supplements can be added without detection.

Chlorophyll (1 to 2 drops) and Spirulina (1/8 tsp) for cats who have no access to forage greens.

Most cats also like chicken, turkey (ground or finely shredded).

There are frozen raw sources of rabbit & duck that can be used raw or gently boiled in water.

My Boy, Indigo, likes his wet food soupy with a little kibble on the side.

He was an abandoned kitty who spent several years living off the land.

He hunted crickets & rodents and survived that way.

It took me a while to make him happy once he had to come indoors.

But I stook at it.

With a little patience, you can make your cat Real Food they will look forward to eating.

Thanks!

Ted

Ted is a very old cat.

Pretty much blind and mostly deaf.

A tad unsteady on his pins, he’s nonetheless of robust appetite.

His voice is loud and strong.

Ted is not fond of being alone.

Fortunately he sleeps a lot.

Time passes without much notice.

He seems to wake just as Fairy Godmother is on her way.

She leaves the blind up so he can look out for her.

When she comes, he’ll eat again.

She’ll rub him all over with a warm washcloth.

Kisses and snugglers.

After, there’s surprise extra in the bowl to finish up.

When he comes out from the kitchen she’s gone.

Licking her scent off his fur reminds him.

When that’s done, he’s comfy and sleepy.

He’ll wake just before she drives up in the morning.

And be waiting in the window.

Gentleman LuLu by codifyer

LuLu is a beautiful Boy.

Many years ago he was found near death from terrible injuries.

He lost any eye.

He healed.

Though if you come too close too fast, he’ll shy or cry in complaint.

He and I were new friends when I took this picture.

Crept in quietly as he slept.

Gently put my knee on the bed then leaned in to get a overhead shot.

LuLu slowly stretched his leg out toward me until his long paw almost touched my leg.

With his eye closed.

Aw…..

Beautiful.

Cheers!
